- They had to sell their house
- they had to sell all the nice jewelry they had
- they had one pair of clothes each
- they had nearly no food to eat, the daughter was still hungry after breakfast so the dad had to give his food to her
- he had to fight with a broken hand because the family needed the money
- he lost his job as a fighter because he kept losing, he didn't have enough energy because they had no food
- in result of that they had to send the kids away
- they lost all of their grocery credit
- the father has to go day to day job hunting
- the great depression affected the upper class too

DRAMATIC

                                                             

    All of the actors in the movie "war horse" wore believable costumes to fit their personality and the character they were acting. The movie took place in France where they fought in the war. The actors were amazing they were all good at their part they took place in. I actually believed that Albert really cared about the horse. Although the little girl who found joey when he ran off with this black horse that i think he really likes, she really wasn't a good actor I didn't believe that she really wanted the horse. She looked like she didn't care but the grandfather looks like he really cared about the little girl.

                 Prohibition is defined as the act of forbidding something, especially by law. Prohibition had greatly impacted the alcohol brewing business when alcohol was banned. during that time there were many bootleggers, which were people who sold alcohol illegally without registration or payment of taxes. There were also many speakeasy's which were saloon's or nightclubs that sold alcoholic beverages illegally. Which I don't really blame them because there are people that make a living off of selling alcohol and for it to be banned takes away so many peoples money income. During post- prohibition only half of the breweries that had been open reopened.

James Wright Foley was an American journalist and a video reporter, was abducted on November 22, 2012 in northwestern Syria.

Steven Sotloff was an American-Israeli journalist, was abducted in August 2013.  He was kidnapped in Aleppo, Syria, and held captive by militants from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
